FAMILY COUNSELING PROGRAMME

Our organisation is running Family Counselling Centre (FCC) Programmes since 2007-08. This Programme is aided by the Central Social Welfare Board/Tamil Nadu Social Welfare Board/Ministry of Women and Child Development, New Delhi. Our centre is situated at 37, Mela Salai, Kuttalam town/taluk/block head quarters, which is near to Block Development Office, Kuttalam and also near to Kuttalam Block bus stop and situated in the  State high way of Kumbakonam – Sirkazhi, so the people can easily accessible the centre. In this FCC two qualified counsellors (MSW) are available for counselling and guidance. This FCC is monitoring by the Sub-committee comprises of DSWO, BDO, local court, AWPS, Medical Officer and local body representative etc. During the year 2019–20 our Family Counselling Centre provided the following counselling services:

Jan Shikshan Sansthan – Nagapattinam District

Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS)- Nagapattinam district is our sister organization which provides the following Vocational Training course.  This JSS Programme is running by our organisation since 2007-08 supported by the Ministry the Human Resource Development, GoI, New Delhi. During the year 2017-18 onwards this programme is transferred to the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, GoI, New Delhi. Every year our JSS provided skill training to 1800 women and men beneficiaries. Out of which 90 % beneficiaries belongs to women.  Category wise we provide skill training for 63.55% of General Category, 31.97% beneficiaries belongs to SC category and 4.48% belongs to ST category based on the district population profile. Since our organisation trained 19387 beneficiaries various skill training. Out of which we trained 18273 belongs to women and the rest 1114 benlongs to men beneficiaries. Since our organisation conduct the following Skill training:a. Hand Emboidery, b. Painting Helper, c. Plumbing & Sanitary Work, d. Retail Store Assistant, e. Self Employed Tailor, f. Assistant Beauty Theraphy, g. Electrical Domestic Aplliance (maintenance & Servicing), h. Pickle making technician, i. Assistant Carpentor, j. Fashion Jewellery, k. General Duty Assistant, l. Domestic Data Entry Operator, m. Make up Hair care settings, n. Computer Application (MS office), o. Cutting & tailoring, p. Basic Electricity, Electronics & House wiring, q. Fasion Designing, r. Fruits and Vegetables and Preservation, s.  Imitation Jewellery, t. Soft toy making,  etc.

 During the year 2019-20 we conduct the following training in Nagapattinam District:

a. Beauty Culture & Healthcare Training 160 beneficiaries

b. Dress Making Design Training 240 beneficiaries,

c. Embroider Module III Training 160 beneficiaries,

d. Fruits and Vegetable Processing and Preservation 80 beneficiaries,

e. Paints and Coating (Wall Painter) Training 20 beneficiaries,

f. Repair and Maintenance Electrical Domestic Appliances 20 beneficiaries.

Out of these six trades, training has been conducted to women for 4 trades and men for two trades. These trainings are provided by our organization in the entire district of Nagapattinam at free of cost. During the year totally 700 persons got various training, out of which 660 belongs to women and the rest 40 belongs to men. Out of 700 persons 29 Differently abled persons got Tailoring training at free of cost for three month duration. This programme is aided by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, New Delhi.
